Compounding

We work with our customers to develop custom compounds for their applications. We have numerous compounds designed to maximize certain performance criteria, including high fatigue life, low creep, tear resistance, abrasion, and many more. Compounds can be tailored to achieve your goals in regards to both performance and cost.

Compounding

Many things go into a compound and no two compounds are the same. Not only is the base elastomer important, but there are many more ingredients that go into an engineered elastomer compound.

 

The mixing, molding, and curing processes greatly affect the performance of the elastomer. The mixing establishes how well the ingredients are distributed in the master batch and while adding the curing system before molding. It is important to prevent scorch or premature curing while mixing the material to ensure the quality of the material.
